That’s why, Roach has been at the forefront of engaging green initiatives and taking steps towards being carbon neutral.
Sustainability
As a sustainability initiative in the hospitality industry, we have adopted green best practices in maintenance, services, products and supplies in Radisson Blue and Roach Sarovar Portico. Reducing waste, saving energy, cutting down on water usage, smart showers, solar installations and waste diversion are some of the key practices in our endeavours.
Solar Power Plant
A solar power plant installed at solar park in Ittigi, Bellary district, Karnataka, has solar capacity of 2.5 MWP DC in 8.25 acres of land.
These efforts translated into considerably lower energy and water consumption, which means a smaller carbon footprint and lower operational costs.
Energy Self-Sufficient
The hotel is 100% energy self-sufficient. It produces energy through its own Solar Plant generating exactly the energy it requires. Additionally, there’s an air source heat pump installed with no diesel or fire.
Water Recycling
The hotels operate by recycling 100% of water which includes flushing, sensor taps, car washing, gardening, public and guest-area etc. An energy efficient chiller with VFD operation is installed that contributes to 50% saving.
Green Energy
The hotels are installed with 100% LED lamps that improve environmental performance with high-energy efficiency even in cold conditions.
Roach sustainability initiatives in Radisson Blu and Roach Sarovar Portico have continuously contributed to minimize the impact on the natural environment.
