We are Roach Lifescapes (formerly known as RBD Shelters), a boutique realty brand owned by a close-knit family of enthusiastic entrepreneurs. We are just builders; we transform land into people-centric lifespaces. Recognizing the growing needs and desires of people, we moved beyond real estate to offer lifestyle experiences in residential, commercial and hospitality sectors.

Our legacy dates back to 1994, and Roach Lifescapes has evolved and transformed over the years to become one of the most innovative and inspiring boutique real estate brands in Bengaluru.

At the heart of Roach Lifescapes is a passion for creating spaces that are more than just buildings; they are places that build and strengthen communities and businesses.

At the forefront of this vision is Mr. Austin Roach, a seasoned real estate developer who started his journey as a founding member of United Builders and then Ferns Builders & Developers. With over three decades of experience in the real estate industry, Mr. Roach has seen the evolution of the market and has remained steadfast in his commitment to put the ‘real’ in the ‘real estate’.

In 2010, Mr. Roach decided to take his vision to the next level and launched RBD Shelters as an independent developer. Over the years, RBD Shelters has become synonymous with quality and innovation in the Bengaluru real estate market.

Today, as Roach Lifescapes, the company has evolved into delivering lifestyle experiences with a personalized touch of hospitality in every aspect of the business. We are governed by a strong value system that emanates from the Roach family of being hospitable, caring, welcoming, uncompromising and very involved. Our Journey

The Roach family has seen the city evolve and left an indelible mark on the real estate map of Bengaluru. As the city grew from being a small cosmopolitan hub into the burgeoning metropolis that it is today, Roach Lifescapes has contributed to its growth story in the last two and half decades – by bringing people, communities and businesses closer than ever.

  1. 1994

    Mr. Austin Roach’s first foray into real estate was his venture ‘United Builders’ which later got christened, ‘Ferns Builders & Developers’. This was a partnership with two other partners and was the genesis of a trailblazing story that was to come.

  2. 1996

    Ferns Builders & Developers, a registered partnership firm, began its journey as one of Bengaluru’s innovative township developer. Over the course of the next decade and into the new millennium, the group undertook development of several residential layouts, apartments and commercial spaces across the city.

  3. 2007

    Marks Mr. Austin Roach’s foray into the Hospitality Sector - he was among the first builders to construct a 5-star Deluxe Hotel on the ORR, Bangalore with Park Plaza (Now Radisson Blu) and he continues his legacy of a perfect match between simplistic designs and luxury.

  4. 2008

    Almost to the end of the first decade of the knowledge century, Bangalore was bustling with new energy. The Ferns Icon Software Technology Park is a symbol of this new era of technological infrastructure, located on Outer Ring Road and comprising 6 floors of office space for the global enterprises from the world over.

  5. 2013

    RBD Shelters is born as Mr. Austin Roach becomes an independent developer with the objective of putting the ‘real’ back into realty. Over the last 5 years of the company’s existence, the company has succeeded in bringing hundreds of residents, strategically located community residential complexes that offer modern amenities and help them strike a perfect balance in life.

    RBD Sarovar Portico is the latest entrant into the marquee names that have been built by the group and adorn the real estate landscape of Bengaluru. Strategically located on the ORR, Sarovar Portico offers excellent connectivity, comfort, and convenience to the IT & ITES clientele in the area.

  7. 2020

    RBD Meadows is a residential layout planned on Chandapura, Anekal Main Road, Bengaluru. Spread over 26 acres and in close proximity to the IT Hub, RBD offers excellent connectivity and all modern amenities necessary for a comfortable life. The neighbourhood is also rich with schools, colleges, shopping centres, hospitals, entertainment centres and more.

    Life Sciences – One BLR was conceptualized for the first time in South India, a Life Science Park was designed with a vision to create a destination for innovation for young companies and multinational. establishments.

    Designed for golfing enthusiasts who desire more than just a game of golf, Clover Greens is an amalgam of an 18-hole golf course, resort, golfing academy, restaurant, sports complex for one to play, relax, learn and unwind in the lap of nature.
